The Aegis Legend

The Aegis Legend mod takes everything vapers loved about the original Aegis and enhances it — sleeker, smarter, and even more rugged. Still rocking the iconic durable design, this version is powered by dual-18650 batteries and ready for anything. I didn’t own the original, but this one definitely stands out. Let’s kick off this review from the top — literally.
Top: Crafted with a full metal top secured by 4 hex screws, it supports up to 30mm atomizers. The spring-loaded gold-plated 510 pin and clean threading ensure a snug connection. A USB charge port sits smartly on top, shielded by a tight rubber seal for water and dust protection.
Buttons: Down the front, you’ll find a sturdy fire button, screen, and control buttons. Zero button rattle, satisfying clickiness, and ergonomic shaping make every press feel intentional. Everything responds flawlessly.
Screen/Menu: The screen system mirrors the Blade kit — straightforward and no-nonsense. It shows all essential data clearly. While not deep in features, it gets the job done. A submenu UI would be nice, but its simplicity is also part of the charm.
Battery Door/Tray: The bottom hosts a secure hinged battery door with vents and a latch-release. It’s snug, sturdy, and does a fantastic job holding batteries in place. That said, opening and closing it can be a bit tricky — tight fit, spring tension, and thicker battery wraps can complicate removal. Still, it’s rugged for a reason.
Size/Styling: Standard size for a dual 18650, leaning slightly large due to its armored build — but it feels great in-hand. Design-wise, it’s a stunner: from the leather accents to the bold color trims and stitch work, Geekvape nailed the aesthetics. Materials include durable silicone and alloy for long-lasting reliability.
Performance: Tested in Power Mode, and wow — instant firing, no lag. It hits hard, hits fast, and stays consistent. TC Mode has improved, but it’s still behind leaders like VooPoo. Firmware updates were smooth, and no battery drain was noticed even after leaving it on for a full day — running v1.2 firmware.
Durability: While I haven’t stress-tested it, I’ve had it out in the rain with no problems. It’s built to take a beating, even if I tend to baby my devices.
Aero Mesh Sub-Ohm Tank
The Aero Mesh tank is a flavorful, airflow-rich companion to the Legend. It supports 810 drip tips and has a twist-off top-fill design — though a push-to-open cap might’ve been smoother. What shines most are the mesh coils — they’re packed with flavor. I’m not typically a sub-ohm tank fan, but these coils made me reconsider. Would love to see dual/triple mesh options in the future.

The GeekVape Aegis Legend kit stands out as one of the most durable and powerful mods on the market. It’s bold, beautifully built, and performs like a champ in Power Mode. With waterproof features, a premium feel, and those flavorful mesh coils, this is an ideal pick if you want something that looks as good as it vapes — and don’t care much for TC.
